Świętego Tomasza 20 #3

Świętego Tomasza Resto Bar is a very well-known place, especially for university students. By showing your University ID, an individual can save up to half the price of beverages and food.

The alcoholic drinks are big, colourful and refreshing, served in fancy glasses. It is truly a feast for the eyes and tongue.
The food is served on a variety of plates, including the wooden variation, similar to chopping desks. If I were you, I would recommend sharing them with your friend.
Świętego Tomasza Resto Bar is located at the crossroads of Świętego Tomasza Street and Szpitalna Street, near the Tawerna Wilczy Dół. The entire place is warm and cosy, but usually very crowded and rowdy, lit up by warm lights and lamps. The blend of loud conversations and music feels like having a bee hive stuck directly inside your brain. The experience may be overwhelming, especially for folks with sensory issues.
The menu card is written clearly, and each dish is thoroughly described with information about what would you find inside it.  The provided pictures beside the dish names will make your mouth water and stomach rumble.
Then, you see the prices. Quite average for a restaurant located near Kraków’s Main Square. Still, they are high enough to cause your heart attack, even before you bite into one of the juicy burgers Świętego Tomasza has to offer.
The service and waiters are polite. However, since the place is usually crowded and beaming with chaos, the dishes might arrive after some long period of waiting.
I usually order the burgers available at Świętego Tomasza Resto Bar with a side of fries. Bread rolls filled with big chunks of juicy meat and filled with tons of vegetables (yum!) and delicious sauce. The meal is dripping with fat, which might be quite bothersome, especially when oil is dripping down your chin, but tasty and filling. Perfect after a long, tiring day at a university.
After finishing the main course, the desserts arrive. I ordered them with my friends so we can each try and share them (quite a fun bonding activity, I may add).
The apple pie was average… in a good way. The apples were juicy and the cake was just alright. A basic snack you could usually get at your local bakery.
The cheesecake was next. It is the biggest serving out of all the cakes, accompanied by whipped cream, vanilla ice cream and strawberries. It was melting in my mouth and the taste of it was hitting my every tastebud.
Finally, the chocolate souffle is served with ice cream and cream. Very sweet, served while still warm. Every spoonful exploded in my mouth with flavour. It was good, but almost too much to handle.
If you are a drinker, you should pay the closest attention to the pages with alcohol. The drinks may seem expensive but they are adequate to their price (with a university student discount!). Tequila is my weak spot, so I ordered Mango Tango, with fruit puree and citrus juice. The drink is poured into a skull-shaped glass. It was refreshing, like a reminder of summer, with just enough bitterness of alcohol. On the important note, Mango Tango is the most expensive drink at Świętego Tomasza at shocking 44 PLN per serving.
If my wallet had allowed it, I would happily drink myself till I could no longer walk at that place. Especially with my friends after a stressful week. After all, It appears there are some avantages to having an expensive menu.
